Editing template blocks

Last Updated: February 9th, 2024

Gravity Forms Email Customizer uses WordPress’s built-in editor to construct the templates. If you have never used the WordPress Editor, or are fairly new to it, it can be a little confusing at first. But, once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to build out your templates with ease!

Editing blocks

  1. While editing your template, click on one of the elements.
  2. A panel on the right side of your screen should open up showing various settings that pertain to the selected block.
  3. If the panel does not open, click the sidebar icon on the top right of your screen.

Hidden block settings

Some block settings are hidden until specifically enabled by the user.

  1. Click on the 3 dots located on the right side of a settings label to open up more options to enable.
  2. Once an option is enabled it will display in the main settings panel for the block.
  3. If you disable an options, it will clear any custom values you have configured for that setting.

Spacing settings like padding and margin also have hidden settings.

  1. Click on the icon with 4 sides located on the right side of a settings label to open up more options.
  2. You will see additional options to fine tune the spacing.
  3. When you click on one of these options it will change the view of the setting, allowing you to target various aspects of the setting.
