Posts Ticker Overrides

Add the following attributes to your shortcode or direct function to modify your tickers settings (Reference the Posts Ticker Settings sections for descriptions of each setting):

  • posts_type – Use a post type slug
  • posts_format – Use a post format slug
  • posts_limit – Integer
  • posts_orderby – String. Options include:
    • none – No order.
    • ID – Order by post id. Note the capitalization.
    • author – Order by author.
    • title – Order by title.
    • name – Order by post name (post slug).
    • type – Order by post type.
    • date – Order by date.
    • modified – Order by last modified date.
    • parent – Order by post/page parent id.
    • rand – Random order.
    • comment_count – Order by number of comments.
    • menu_order – Order by Page Order.
    • meta_value – Note that a ‘posts_orderby_meta_key‘ attribute must also be present.
    • meta_value_num – Order by numeric meta value. Also note that a ‘posts_orderby_meta_key‘ attribute must also be present.
    • post__in – Preserve post ID order given in the post__in array
  • posts_orderby_meta_key – String. Used in conjunction with either posts_orderby=”meta_value” or posts_orderby=”meta_value_num”.
  • posts_order – ASC, DESC
  • posts_date – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
  • posts_thumb – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
  • posts_thumb_dimensions – String. Options include:
    • thumbnail
    • medium
    • large
    • full
    • any other registered image size
  • posts_thumb_link – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
  • posts_title – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
  • posts_title_link – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
  • posts_excerpt – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
  • posts_excerpt_length – Integer
  • posts_excerpt_link – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
  • posts_excerpt_more – String
    • If you wish to add a permalink to the post with your ‘more’ text, add curly brackets {} around the text you wish to create a link with. Example: …{Read more}
  • posts_content – Use “1” for true, “0” for false.
